What is Disney Plus error code 24 on a Firestick?

If you are facing error code 24 on Disney Plus when using an Amazon Firestick, it could mean two things:

  • Either you are having connection issues
  • Or, a problem has occurred while logging in

Disney Plus requires an internet speed of at least 5 MB/s to operate correctly and to deliver the content to you.

By the looks of thing, the error code occurs when your internet speed or the Wi-Fi signal drops.

Note: This could happen on any device, not just the Amazon Firestick.

How to fix Disney Plus error code 24

To bypass error code 24 on Disney+, the first thing you should do is to check if your home broadband is working correctly.

If you discover that your internet connection is down, contact your internet service provider to get it fixed.

However, if the internet is working, you should try checking its quality. You can perform an internet speed test using Fast.com. If the recorded speed is less than 5 MB/s, consider upgrading your internet connection.

If your internet speed is suitable, proceed with the following instructions.

  • Uninstall the Disney+ app from your Firestick and reinstall it.
  • Now restart your internet router.
  • Open the Disney+ application and see if the error has gone away.
  • If the problem persists, try using your mobile phone to create a Wi-Fi hotspot using mobile data. Then, connect your Firestick to that network.
  • Now check again.
  • If it starts working, then there is a problem with your internet, and you should contact your internet service provider.

What about Disney Plus error code 42?

Aside from Disney+ error code 24, if you have a slow internet connection, you could also be facing error code 42 on your Firestick.

Error code 42 can also occur if the load on the Disney+ server is too high and it cannot respond to your requests.

Try running through the steps outlined above, including checking your internet and performing a speed test. The same applies in rebooting the internet router.

If error 42 persists, be patient and wait for the load on the servers to be reduced, Disney Plus tech teams are always looking out to cope with high demand, and it should not be long before they handle the issue.

Another reason for Disney+ error code 42 occurring could be to do with rights availability. Perhaps the content you’re trying to view isn’t yet available in your location. If you are using a VPN, this may be why error 42 is happening.

More often than not, a full reset of the system, as well as rebooting the internet, will get both of these error codes ousted and you well on your way to watching all your favourite Disney, Marvel or Nat Geo content.
