Fitbit is one of the biggest names in the smart wearable devices industry, known for its high-quality fitness watches that collect accurate data.

There is a Fitbit designed for every person – you don’t really even need to be into fitness to feel the benefits of a Fitbit!

From heart rate monitoring to sleep insights, there are many benefits to owning a Fitbit including a tonne of knowledge about your own body.

Taking a deep dive into one of the more popular wearable devices on the market, the Fitbit Versa, we take a look at how the product fairs in terms of swimming accuracy, battery life and more.

How is the accuracy of the Fitbit Versa when it comes to things like swimming?

For the price of the Versa, it comes with an impressive array of sensors, an altimeter, heart monitor, SpO2 sensor, three-axis accelerometer and gyroscope meaning whatever activity you’re doing it’s quite accurate.

With all these sensors collecting data you know what’s going on and how well you’re body is responding and reacting the to the activity you are undertaking.

Fitbit definitely has one thing down, usability, the Versa is extremely easy to use. So, whether you’re young or old, the Fitbit Versa should be usable for everyone.

They also offer free trials with a coaching app to set you off on your fitness journey and hopefully get you on a health kick.

Is the Fitbit Versa missing anything important?

With only 550 apps and clock faces, Fitbit doesn’t have the most diverse app store whereas the Apple Watch has thousands of apps for customers to choose from.

Fitbit continues to design bizarrely shaped charging cradles and other accessories that seem to defy any logic but at least they mostly look nice.

Something you do have to be mindful of is the Versa only has 2.5GB of internal storage and unless you’re downloading the music onto it from a computer then you have to subscribe to Pandora or Deezer to stream music which isn’t an ideal scenario for some people.

Our final verdict on the Fitbit Versa: Should you buy it?

If you’re on a budget and looking for a wearable with all the bells and whistles we don’t think you can go wrong with the Fitbit Versa.

It’s versatile and although it doesn’t have the thousands of apps that the Apple Watch has to offer, it has to be one of the best smartwatches we’ve tried.

The product you receive for the price is excellent as you can find them for well under £200.

Accurate data could help you take your training and recovery to the next level which is another reason we highly recommend this product.
