The following four steps should get your Sky error code rectified…

  1. First, uninstall the Sky Q app from your device.
  2. Next, you’ll need to ‘forget’ your home wifi network.
  3. Now, shut down and unplug the Sky Q box. Wait a few minutes, then power up the Sky Q box.
  4. Re-connect to the wifi. Now re-install the Sky Q app and everything should be working perfectly.

How can I stop getting Sky error codes?

Sky error codes are often preceded or accompanied by buffering on your chosen TV programme. Even if you’ve downloaded the show it can still buffer.

It’s important to check your wifi speed and ensure you’re receiving a good signal. You can try disconnecting other devices from the wifi to see if that makes a difference to your Sky TV viewing.
