Houseparty is something of a saviour in 2020 as the world goes into lockdown due to Coronavirus.
Being able to stay in contact with friends and family has never been easier as Houseparty provides us with “face-to-face social networking”.
The free app is available to download for a variety of devices, from iPhone to iPad, Android, laptop and Mac.
Although Houseparty was launched in 2019, it’s really reached the top of the charts in March 2020, connecting people all over to enjoy virtual ‘house parties’.
However, it looks as though some Houseparty users are having trouble logging out of the app. So, let’s see how to logout of Houseparty on a laptop.
How to logout of Houseparty on a laptop
Logging out of the Houseparty app on a laptop should be the same as you would for any other programme or application.
If you’re using an operating system such as Windows, you’ll need to navigate to the menu at the top of the screen, choose from the drop-down options a heading such as ‘Houseparty’ or ‘Settings’. Then select “log out”.
However, if you’re using the Houseparty Chrome extension, please follow the steps below:
Click on your name on the left-hand side of the screen > “settings” cog icon > Log out.

If you’ve had enough of playing quizzes and games on Houseparty for the night, then you may want to log out of the app on your Apple Mac.
For Mac or Macbook users, the top menu on the computer screen is where you’ll need to navigate to.
After heading to the top-left of the screen > click “Houseparty” > scroll down to “log out”.

How to logout of Houseparty app on iPhone
The Houseparty is available to download for free from both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
To log out of the app on a mobile phone, head to the top left-hand side of the screen and click on the pink settings cog.
This opens up the ‘settings’ menu, then simply scroll down to ‘log out’. You’ll be faced with the options of ‘log out’ or ‘cancel’. If you still wish to log out, click the first option.
