If your router is jam-packed with devices, this may cause issues and regular dropouts. Removing devices that aren’t regularly used or having fewer devices connected at one time can help speed up the router.
Superhub 3 wifi: how to update your router
If your router regularly disconnects, it is worth trying to update your router before anything else. This is how you update your router (and it is more than just plugging it back in again)
- Make sure your device is connected to Virgin Media Hub 3 or 4, then open a browser and type in 192.168.0.1 into the search bar.
- Use your credentials to log in when prompted. These may be details located on the router box, or you may have changed this yourself.
- Open the advanced settings page > then click SSID and change your details
- Then run diagnostics before taking it out of modem mode.

Virgin Media Hub 4, can I upgrade?
If you’re having issues with your Virgin Media Hub 3, you may be offered an upgrade. It is currently available to all Gig1 FIbre broadband customers and greatly improves the Hub 3. With improved specs and 11 in-built antennae that can extended wifi connection throughout the home. If your wifi keeps dropping out from your Superhub 3, this upgrade may benefit your service.
