JBL Endurance Peak not charging? What to do now
A charging cable and case are included when you purchase the JBL Endurance Peak headphones.
As far as the specs go, the earphones are said to give “hours of continuous playback and 24 hours of backup power from the charging case”
Just a 10-minute charge is said to be enough for one hour of music playback. However, if you’ve had your headphones on charge for a while now, and you’re still seeing a ‘low battery’ red light, then we can imagine you’re feeling slightly stumped.
If the red light on the side of the headphones is blinking then it means that your headphones are running out of battery. Firstly, try a short 10-minute charge as advised by JBL. We don’t want to over-charge the device as it may ruin the battery.
Once plugged into a power source, whether you choose the wire cable or the charging case, the headphones should tell you when the battery is fully charged as the light on the side of them will turn off.
If you’re still not having any luck, it’s best to check both the charging cable and case for any visible damage, carefully check the port on the headphones, too, in case of any wear and tear.

FIXED: Endurance Peak – right ear not working
If you’re experiencing one headphone working, but the other isn’t then we advise running a factory reset on the headphones.
Follow the steps below to run a factory reset:
- Put both earbuds into the charging case.
- Then tap on the right earbud three times, quickly for the first two times, then holding for 10 seconds on the third tap.
- A red light should lash a few times to indicate the reset has been done on the right earbud.
Now, unpair and repair the headphones from your phone and things should work as new!
